My Native Doctor patient πŸ˜‚

I've nursed babies, teachers farmers business men etc but again I've nursed a native doctor , yesso Babalawo, oboh, ezemuo or whatever they call it in your dialect.

It happened to be while I was a student during one of my clinical postings. A practical exam was to be conducted at the end of the posting and  each student nurse would be asked questions about patients at random.
Now as expected no one wanted to have this native doctor as their patient but interestingly the only thing you can do is wish , hope or pray.

This our native doctor guy had a very toxic behavior🀀, but wallahi I wasn't surprised .  The injury on his leg prevented him from ambulating at will , so he was restricted from going physical. Restricted because, he made up for that loss with the most toxic and inhumane words and I'm convinced that he would have beaten other patients up could he walk. I also heard someone asked him where his gods were when he was  shot (because it was a bullet wound) oga said the gods were sleeping πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. It was funny. People laughed and I think that increased his toxicity. He once told the wife of an unconscious patient that she had eaten her husband 🀦🀦.

About two days to the exam, this man and I had issues (talk about my village people 🀣🀣🀣, if not why me and babalawo go get issues). I know you want to know what happened, amebo πŸ˜‹πŸ˜œ I'll tell you . I was going to check his temperature, I wiped the thermometer clean with a wet cotton wool but he insisted I didn't.  This man did not forget about it , he kept bringing it up as a matter of fact 'he had my beef' 😭.

Exam day came, I was in the last batch to be examined , I think it was just two people after me. Exam was going on quite well, no one had been taken to the man's bed side.
Finally it got to my turn , behold and lo , it happened, yes I was taken to his bedside for questioning😭😭. He was my patientπŸ™†πŸ™†

I prayed to God "please don't let this man tell the examiner that we have issues" It would be the end (your patient cannot be wrong oo, Asin a bad a patient can make you fail exam)

To make matters a little worse, the examiner asked a question which I would have only known the answer to if I was attending to the man regularly but since he was beefing me , I  was avoiding him and his trouble.

Please when you get to this point help me shout 7 thunderous hallelujah regardless of where you are or what you're doing (yes I said so) because I'm about to testify!!!

You guys won't believe the examiner turned away for a moment and this man told me the answer 😲😲 . I couldn't believe it too (talk about God working in mysterious ways) . The examiner went ahead to ask a few other questions , and the man kept trying to help me out even though I knew the answers.

See as soon as the exam was over i rushed straight to buy him Glo recharge card worth 200NGN , incase you're wondering how I Know the network he uses πŸ˜…πŸ˜…, the man talks about any and everything plus he's always making call and reporting his fellow patients to God knows who!

I don't have to tell you we became buddies πŸ˜‚ , he even told me "e be like say you just Know wetin I need" . Didn't I tell you he's always making call , he needed to make call but had no call card!

So that's how we became each other's saviour 🀣🀣🀣🀣

End of story!
