 If I want to spend the rest of my working days laughing hard, watching dramas and  maybe feature in some, replaying  scenes from work in my head and laughing uncontrollably in my car , on the street or wherever I find myself ; I'd definitely specialize in psychiatry! Yesso, psychiatry. Two months of psychiatric posting and I watched more comedy movies than has ever been produced by any film industry, moreso they were 100% original. Should we copy Netflix and call it PSY original?🤷🤣 Now go back and read, there's absolutely no where I said  all you do in psychiatry is watch comedy show and laugh on the contrary, there's so much work. Pain can mess with your thoughts and speech. You'd just say things that you shouldn't say normally. You are not you at that moment. And trust me, it's worse when it's labour pain. I had this patient in labour, it was her first baby. Let me quickly chip in the fact that I have a special connection with first time mommies 😍😍 . I can't say why exactly, but I'm usually super excited to be part of the journey to a new phase of their life. And when everything ends well , it's usually a happy scene. Like every labour/ childbirth story. She was in "sifia" pains and she wasn't having it at all. It was obviously more than she had prepared for 😂. No, I'm no laughing (I mean how dare I laugh when I'm yet to dance to that music), but you should have seen her display. Does anyone ever want something so bad, do anything just to get this thing they want and still let it slip through their fingers so easily?  Let me make it clearer, do you know any woman who would  pray for and want a child so bad but when she finallybecomes pregnant , she would be so careless with the pregnancy till she loses the baby?  It seems like an impossibility, but today I'd tell you the story of a 40 year old woman who waited 8 years to have a child, but lost the precious baby to extreme carelessness. One Saturday I was in labor ward, it was a calm shift till this woman came in. I was resting in the nurses room as there were no patients intially but her cries brought me out.  Curious me wanted to find out why a woman was crying in the labour room (it wasn't the usual shouting that follows labour pain).
