Daddy of the year!π
Did you enjoy the last baby story? Well if you did ,you're in luck because this is another baby story!
This one is shorter with less drama, but maybe a little more emotions and guess what— it's the daddy this time!π₯°π€π. Anyways, I'd leave you to decide which ingredient is more; drama or emotions.
Again I had another pregnant mother who was also a Soon to be first time mom. I already told you the special bond and love I have for first time moms. Every mom is special, whether it's the first or twentieth child. It's the change of status that interests me.
Anyways , for some reason which I don't exactly remember now, she was told she might need a caeserian section. The husband who wasn't so learned didn't object surprisingly ,but money was an issue. For someone his status, one would expect him to say things like "no, we dey forbid am", "nobody for my family use operation born", "I dey carry am go meet my mama , she go must born by herself". He just wanted whatever the doctor considered best for his wife and child. He didn't exactly have the money however.
While at the nurses station, the man walked past me on his way out. He told me he was going to look for money. My heart was warmed, "what a loving daddy "ππ, I thought.
For some reason, the woman had to be taken to the theatre earlier than scheduled. It was an emergency and by the time the man came back the woman was in the theatre already. Like most expectant dads , he paced back and forth waiting for some good news. Usually in a delivery by caeserian section, all things being equal, the baby comes out before the mother and it's because the mother is being stitched up.
As Soon as I brought the baby( a very fine and fresh chubby princess) to the father, the man completely forgot about his wifeπ. He was overwhelmed with joy and the baby's beauty, he forgot to ask about his wife. He didn't remember the baby came through a channelππ.
He just carried the baby with all the love on Earth and a little extra from Mars and maybe Pluto, swaying and rocking her gently. He kept gushing over her, never have I seen such daddy reaction.

This was such a good read. May God bless all parents out there genuinely doing the best they can.
ReplyDeleteAmen, thank you for reading π
DeleteThis was a very touching writeup to read.
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate to that feeling. There is this rush a parent feels the first time they set their eyes on their new baby. All the hurts, discomfort and worries just disappears and all you can think of is taking care of your little one.
Kudos to our amiable writer DOYFN
